Friday Family Funnies-Late
I'm sorry that this Friday Family Funny is late. Faith had her 3-Year-Old check-up on Friday and she came to work with me and I didn't have time to log on. Anyway, for my faithful readers, all two of you - I am sorry.
Faith's check-up went great on Friday, she weighed 31lbs and the doctor said she was perfectly perfect. She was amazed at how long she had been potty trained given that my other two were over three before they were. Faith did great, so I told her that we would go have a lunch date with Daddy and she could choose where we would go. She said, "I want to go to Mexico". In Faith language we gathered that meant she wanted to go eat Mexican.
Samuel had his first Upward Basketball game on Saturday and hopefully I can share those pictures with you tomorrow.
Have a great week!

Friday Family Funnies
I don't have a funny from our kids this week, I just couldn't think of anything specific this morning. Of course, we have had funny moments this past week...
...last Friday night, was "Family Fun Night" and we stayed home and sang with Samuel's karaoke machine he got for Christmas. That was funny!
...Seth puked up a entire jar of Blueberry buckle baby food all over the living room floor. The kids thought that was funny, I didn't so much.
...The kids were acting silly before bed Thursday night, showing us their "muscles".
...and many more, pretty much everyday in our house is funny!
I told you I sat some goals for 2007 and I would share with you when the Lord allows me to fulfil one of those goals. Well, I also want to share with you how I have already failed in one of those goals, 12 days into the new year (I really have failed at more than just one!)
One of my goals was to send Birthday cards, on time. I have failed that this week. Our wonderful friend, Lana, had a birthday yesterday and nope - no card in the mail. Our other good friends, Scott and Sharon, their son, Caleb turned 14 on Wednesday and did I get a card in the mail? Nope. So there you go, be encouraged if you have already failed with a goal you set for 2007 - you're not the only one. So by God's grace, I will strive harder this coming week and send a belated birthday card.
Another goal that Travis and I set was to eat more healthy in the coming year and to be more healthy when we go to Walt Disney World this summer. We're not saying we are on a diet - we think that only sets us up for failure. We both have done well with this goal this past week. Travis has so much will power, it is amazing. The word is spreading, my husband, who used to HATE salads has had a salad fours days this week. He said last night he realized that, come Sunday, it will be the first week in his life, that he remembers, not having a french fry. I am very proud of him. Pray that God will help us become more healthy so we can enjoy our kids more. The picture is from our anniversary dinner. Hopefully, the next picture I post of us will be of a smaller us.
Have a great week-end!

Final Christmas Photos
Alright, I know that I am behind again on getting you caught up on Christmas, I am just so busy, that I haven't time much comptuer time.
So, here it is, a few last picture from Christmas 2006:
We had a wonderful visit with Mammy, Popeye and Cookie. They were able to attend church with us on Christmas Eve, which was a nice treat.
Thankfully, my kids loved the cookies squares and we all had fun and "Santa" enjoyed his cookies.
That's it, no more Christmas pictures. I'm done. We had a great Christmas together and are having a great start to 2007.

Friday Family Funnies - Who Is that Big Guy?

Travis' grandfather, who is 86, was remarried to Irene, who is 88, on Christmas Eve. We met her for the first time at the family Christmas get together. Pop introduced Travis to Irene, neither of them hear or see very well - Irene looked up at Travis and then asked Pop - "He sure is big, is he a wrestler?"
Have a great week-end!
*Note I have had a busy end of the week at work and the girls have been sick, so I will finished updating you on our holidays next week.

A Visit with Memama and Granddaddy
I did tell you yesterday that the kids stayed with Memama and Granddaddy for a couple of night. My mom captured some great pictures of the kids while they were there.

Happy 2007!
Happy 2007 to everyone! In this new year, I too, have my list of things that I would like to do and change in 2007. I was going to post it, but after I have thought about it, I think I am going to keep it between me, my husband, and my Jesus. When the Lord allows me to fulfill one of my goals - then I can share with you how He helped me. I pray that He will help you fulfill all your goals, also!
I think I will start with the girls birthdays. Faith turned three years old on December 15th and Hannah Grace turned four years old on the 19th of December. We had their birthday party early so that everyone could come - that was great, but I seemed like we celebrated birthday's for weeks. Bubba was such a good Big Brother with Princess stuff EVERYWHERE! That week-end, the kids went and spent two
nights with Memama and Granddaddy. They had a great time and it was nice to have time for Travis and I during the busy times.
For their birthday's Grammy and Big Daddy gave them tickets to see Disney Princess on Ice on the 15th. Mommy and Daddy took them and we had a great time. Mammy and Popeye had given them Wal-mart gift cards, so they each bought a new Princess costume; Faith went as The Little Mermaid and Hannah Grace was Cinderella.
On Hannah Grace's birthday we got together with our great friends the Adkins and the O'Shield's at Chuck-E-Cheese. What fun we had!

So that's the girls birthday's - more of our busy month tomorrow.
Now, I said that I would try to catch you up on what has been going to in our lives since Thanksgiving. We have been very busy with work, school programs, birthday's, anniversaries, parties... I told someone at church on Sunday, the best thing that my family needs is our routine back. We have enjoyed the time off from school and work, but we are a routine family and we need that routine back.
Again, Happy New Year!

Friday Family Funnies - North Pole Baptist Church
We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We did. The kids had a great time. I have many pictures to catch you up on what has been going on in our lives from Birthday's to Christmas - hopefully I can do that next week.
We were on our way to church Sunday morning, Christmas Eve, and Hannah Grace ask us what we thought Santa Claus was doing that morning. We were telling her that he was resting getting ready to be up late to deliver their presents, Faith was adding her ideas and then Samuel, our little Deacon, said Hannah Grace, you know he's at North Pole Baptist Church.
Happy New Year!

The Christmas Story
And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child.
So it was, that while they were there, they days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger." And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, good will toward men!"
So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this things that has come to pass, which the Lord has made know to us." And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.
Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

Happy 4th Birthday Hannah Grace Barbara

"O Lord of host, if You will indeed look on the affliction of your maidservant and remember me , and not forget your maidservant, but will give your maidservant a female child, then I will give her to the Lord all the days of her life." I Samuel 1:11
That was my prayer for three years and then the Lord answered my prayers on December 19, 2002.

Happy 3rd Birthday Faith Danielle
Today is our "baby" girl's 3rd Birthday. We woke up this morning and both said, we couldn't believe that our baby was three today.
Faith is such a joy to our life. She is always doing something or saying something to make us laugh. I was thinking this morning about the day I admitted to myself that, yes, I was pregnant again, only three months after the birth of Hannah Grace. I cried because I was pregnant and then I cried because I cried. I look back now and couldn't imagine our life without our little surprise blessing - our Faith!
Happy Birthday, Faith, we love you!
Love, Mommy, Daddy, Bubba and Hannah Grace
