Samuel's Spring Photos

The day I took Faith's pictures was also the day of Samuel's Spring Chorus Concert, so we left early and he and I went to take his picture, while he looked handsome in his tux. All the way there he kept saying, "Mom, do I have to..." but once he got there you can tell he didn't have a terrible time.

Here are a couple of pictures from his chorus concert. They are very good and have a competition at Carowinds next Friday. We'll let you know how that goes.

Birthday Party Fun

The kids have had several birthday parties over the past month. The first was Emma "Glamor Party". The girls got their fingernails painted and made their own bracelet. The girls had some much fun being girlie girls!

The next party was for Samuel's friend Micheal. There was nothing girlie about his party - capture the flag, Nerf gun battles and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire. They were nice enough to let the girls and I stay for the fun!

Gwen's probably going to kill me for posting this picture.

Faith has also been to a Pump-It-Up Party and both girls went to a party at Monkey Joe's.

Last week I spent the week in Kentucky with my Dad and Step-mom (Popeye and Mammy). Daddy had a massive heart-attack on Tuesday the 7th. The Lord showed me many thing and when He puts them all together in my mind I will share them with you. I do praise Him that Daddy is going to be alright, I am very thankful for that.
When I left, I had to leave very quickly and really didn't get to talk to the kids about me leaving. Travis did great and I am so blessed to have him as a husband and helpmate. He did get some help from Aunt Kendra - thank you Aunt Kendra!!!

Popeye got to go home from the hospital on Friday (10th) and when we got settled in I called the kids so they could talk to him. We made the mistake of waiting too late and the kids were getting in the bed. When Samuel answered the phone all I could hear was Faith crying; and I don't mean just crying, she was sobbing and I could hear her say, I just want my Mommy, I just want my Mommy... I tried to talk to her and get her calmed down, but that did not work, so Travis just put her to bed and I moved on to talk with Hannah Grace.

I asked Hannah Grace, What's wrong with Faith? She said, Faith has had enough of Daddy!

Have a great week-end!

Faith's Spring Photos

After Faith's Spring Program she and I went to feed the ducks and it was so beautiful and she looked so cute, I took, just a few, pictures.

I loved the spot so much, I ended up taking Samuel and Hannah Grace too...so watch for those soon.

Staying Busy

Well, spring is here and we are as busy as ever. I know I am behind in updating the blog and it's not been just one thing, it's been lots of things. One big thing is that I haven't felt well over the past month. For the first time in my life I am suffering from seasonal allergies and it has really got me down. I think that I am finally getting control of it and have felt better the past week. Travis has started his travels and the kids and I have been trying to pass the time while he's away. Samuel is doing well in school and begins 7th Grade football "conditioning" next week. He is excited, but a little scared of the unknown. Faith is still just a happy as ever and just goes with flow. She is still loving ballet and has been preparing for her recital. Hannah Grace is playing Upward t-ball and last night was her first game of the season. The first two games were rained out. She is loving playing t-ball and is doing very well.
