Awwww Shucks!

This past week-end while Daddy was away, the kids and I went to visit with Memama and Grandaddy. Before I left, I had got Memama some fruits and veggies; one of those was corn. On Saturday, the kids really got into helping her shuck the corn!I'm glad they got the practice because I'm getting mind today and that's what is planned for tonight!

Friday Family Funnies - Let's Get Organized

Yesterday afternoon the girls and I dug into their room to clean up and get organized before school starts. I have to tell you - they worked hard! We had three piles - Trash - Keep - Give Away; thankfully the Give Away pile was the biggest and they made most of the choices. Once everything was in it's correct box we had some fun. I was watching Jon & Kate plus Eight the other day and when they were organizing their toys she took a picture of what was in each box to put on the outside of the box to help with clean-up. I had heard this before, but I got thinking...

So, we took pictures of what was in each box, but the girl's were in the picture too. They had so much fun!

It's Hot Out There

Today is suppose to be pretty hot - so enjoy some of our summer pictures of our water fun!

Monopoly By Candlelight

Yesterday I turned 33 years old. I was greeted first thing by a sweet voice saying "Happy Birthday, Mommy" - I really couldn't ask for more.

I was given a day off from cooking - Daddy and Samuel took me to lunch and Daddy and the girls took me to supper.

Last night a group of strong storms made their way through (I am not complaining - we need the rain) and knocked the power off at home.

So, I spent my birthday playing Monopoly with the love of my life by candlelight.

When I began my day I didn't think that it could get much better than my sweet Faith wishing me a Happy Birthday...but it did!!!

We want to thank the Lord and welcome the 8th Sparks Grandbaby into the world - Cousin Shepherd Ford Sparks was born at 3:44am this morning, weighing 10lbs 4 oz; 24 inches.

Friday Family Funnies - Mine!

This is one of my favorite scenes from Finding Nemo; at the beach we lived this scene.

All of us were sitting down enjoying our snack lunch last Saturday and we began to be surrounded by seagulls. All we could think of was that scene.

Then Faith thought it would be fun to give the seagulls some of her lunch. As you see below they weren't waiting around for her to drop it. This is the only picture I got, because I was laughing so hard and they were trying to get my food too. I'm sure that we gave everyone on the beach behind a good laugh for the day!

Today is Sarah's 13th Birthday and I wanted to share this picture that I found recently while looking through old photos. This was at Sarah's 2nd Birthday Party - look at Samuel, he was just a month old. Not to mention - look at us, we were so young.
